THE SKY IS THE LIMIT
In the cradles of Mother Nature
The Alps are a sight to see,
They are the gates of heaven in reality.
Halfway to the very skies, I am standing there with glee
Gratitude cannot be expressed in words honestly.
A coverlet of snow seems to cover the Alps, I see
It is not snow but diamonds for me.
Walking in the sea of dazzling diamonds,
Watching the diamonds fall from the sky,
It shimmers as my cherished dreams beautify.
God cannot be seen they say,
I have seen them in a different way.
At the border of our country,
Gods disguise themselves at the snowy boundary.
Risking their lives for us and the Green,
We proudly call them the Indian Army.
The peak of the mountain is hard to get hold of
Risking their lives on every curve.
The amount of hardship goes for a zigzag road,
It shines on them, with a chest so broad,
The Road Organization deserves a salute for its workload.
I thank Mother Nature for what it holds,
I thank the snow for what it beholds,
I thank the army for protecting every stone,
I thank the people who hardly thought for their own.
With a grateful heart, I honor them proudly
Gratitude cannot be expressed in words honestly
I am Anura Parida, a 12-year-old creative writer currently studying in the 7th grade. Ever since I can remember, words have been my closest companions, and poetry has become my heartfelt expression. The power of language to paint emotions, dreams, and thoughts in vivid hues has always fascinated me.
Through my writing, I explore the tapestry of emotions that color my world – from the joy of friendship to the contemplation of life's mysteries. Each verse is a reflection of my innermost feelings and experiences, capturing moments of wonder and introspection.
Besides being a writer, I'm an avid reader, devouring classics and contemporary literature alike, which helps me expand my creative horizons. Art, in all its forms, holds a special place in my heart, and I enjoy sketching and painting to complement my poetic musings. Apart from this, I have a strong interest for
Thank you for reading, and I look forward to sharing this beautiful world of creative writing with you all!
I am a little bird ,
Want to fly high.
Want flying tirelessly,
Just to touch the sky .
Free from the golden cage,
Leaving the sweet fruits,
Want to enjoy the cool breeze,
And listen to my echoes too.
No dearth of food ,
No scarcity of water .
No fear of cage,
My home is mother nature.
Free is food,
Free is freedom.
No one is my master,
Free from the thought of boredom.
No one to command ,
No one to check,
I sing , as long as my heart speaks,
And when I am tired,
I take a break.
When night falls,
Stars twinkle in the sky,
I rest on the branches,
Get ready again to fly.
I promise to fly to any possible height,
SKY IS MY LIMIT,
ONLY SKY IS MY LIMIT.
