SUMMER CAMP
I am writing this about my mother,
It doesn't have any rhyming
But it sounds good .
She is helpful
She has kindness
She has the things that a mother should have
She has a heart filled with gold,
Whenever I say something to her to cook ,
She says yes, but never says it is difficult .
After cooking , I see her face filled with sweat, Then, I feel my mother's emotion .
After her work , she feels very hungry, but she awaits for her turn to eat.
She feeds my brother first , and then she eats at last ,
I feel very sad about her when anybody gets angry on her ,
That person who gets angry on my mother will only feel the emotion,
When he or she does my , gold mother's work
Ritika Pradhan (Khushi), is a class V student at Pune. Born to a software engineer father and a homemaker mother (a Post graduate in Economics), she hails from Deogarh District of Odisha. Her hobbies include dancing, painting, sketch drawing, reading/writing stories & poems. Recipient of many awards on dance, creative writing & running competition in her school, now a days she is more interested on getting ideas from elders to fulfil her dream of becoming a Space Scientist-cum-Astronomer. Her favourite thought is, "Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep balance you need to move forward."
Most boring the summer vacation , no work to do ,
Once the camp started, happily the days pass through.
On line camp starts from morning till noon ,
No more watching of movies , serials nor the cartoons.
No more shouting from my mother,
Not subjected to my father's anger .
Daily new varieties of dishes we make,
From jilabee , golapjamoo to fruit cake.
To my grandparents I showed a picture of fun ,
They said, " Don't befool us , it's an optical illusion."
For my parents I made two glasses of cold lemon drink ,
" Wow! So tasty, " said Mama within a blink.
No doubt, physical camps are far far better,
On line camp was not bad either.

" May God bless her.
