I see them and i wonder how
Their life is such a wow
With no tension and no fear
For them the great sky is so near
In the sky when they dive
I wish to live that wonderful life
I wish to fly up and up away
Just like they do every day
Birds their life is so much fun
Restrictions they have none
Majestic eagle, magical swan
Wise owl or cute penguin
Rollers ,coracias and barbets
Parrots , penguins or the one eating bee
Any of them i would love to be
But right now i can only dream
And say how beautiful their world seems
I am just a human without any powers
Who can fly only in fast planes
Mrinalini Mallick is a student of class 8 in Jajpur. She writes on subjects experienced by her little world in a unique way. Her poems exude innocence and hope of uncluttered mind.
Life is not easy
There could be ups and downs
It’s the same for you and me
Its your choice to smile or frown
If someone puts you down
Then you must not just weep
Because life is like a mountain
And the path could be steep
So if something comes your way
And prevents you from going farther
You must gather up all your courage
And bounce back harder
An example of this is Nature
In whom if you make a dent
It will not stop and cry
For it is resilient
So to achieve success
Resilience is essential
It will allow you to work
Up to you full potential

My family is a garland ,
Beautifully knit.
It's a long bridge,
Strongly built.
It's a team ,
Of both young and old .
Every one is a player,
Whether shy or bold.
For every member,
We love and care.
Everyone gets a chance,
Free and fair .
We cherish our memories,
Through all the years .
Some are laughters and
Some are full of tears.
Through path of wears and tears,
Family is my priority.
To keep every member happy,
Is my first duty.
I love my family and
I will love my family ,
Always pray God ,
To keep all members Healthy and Jolly.
Trishna ( Natuni ) , a class V student of Sai International School Bhubaneswar, born to engineer parents and doctor grand parents is a gifted child. A disciplined and determined learner she is, as a student, family member, speaker, writer and an Odisi dancer. She is blended with traditional and cultural values, spirituality, science and arts. A nature loving girl she has taken reading books and travelling as her hobbies. Her favourite dish is Chicken Biryiani prepared by her mother. Her motto of life is, " NEVER BE A DEFAULTER.
