Ms. Aranya Pattnaik

I see it, I see it

The trees, the houses,

The birds crossing the sky

But what I love to see the most

Is you and I.

TURTLE STEPS

Ms. Aranya Pattnaik

(This is a poem she wrote when she was four years old:)

These two turtles

Look how they crawl

One named Doll

And one named Brawl.

Here they go

Tippity tap tall.

THE TEA SELLER

Anura Parida

Among the mist, in the mountains so high,

One tea seller sits by,

Staring at that one clicking kettle,

For him, it was quite instrumental.

After a weary journey of fun and ease,

I reach a hut in the misty breeze.

Even in a dwarf place, it feels warm,

Can it be the coffee’s warmth or the feeling that was born?

Starring at the vast blue sky,

Smiling gently, as the clouds pass by.

He looked down, feeling an urge at his feet,

To see, his animal companions back in their seats.

The exchange of gratitude was truly wonderful,

My time in the shop was quite peaceful.

The tea seller’s unforgettable hospitality,

I am truthfully courteous for his generosity.

I bided him a grateful bye,

But the moment I turned,

He looked at his animal companions with a sigh,

Soon again his head was up in the sky…

I am Anura Parida, a 12-year-old creative writer currently studying in the 7th grade. Ever since I can remember, words have been my closest companions, and poetry has become my heartfelt expression.

Through my writing, I explore the tapestry of emotions that color my world – from the joy of friendship to the contemplation of life's mysteries.

Besides being a writer, I am an avid reader, devouring classics and contemporary literature alike, which helps me expand my creative horizons. Art, in all its forms, holds a special place in my heart, and I enjoy sketching and painting to complement my poetic musings. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to sharing this beautiful world of creative writing with you all!

THE SUNDAY MORNING

Trishna Sahoo

On Sundays I used to sleep,

Without any worry .

But since 1st November,

I am waking up in a hurry.

What a change TRISHNA  !

Everyone started to ask .

Our school has launched ,

Extra sports class.

Oh ! How painful  it is ,

 I only know .

Waking up so early ,

I move like a sloth , so slow.

We used to run for an hour,

 In the morning .

Everyone of us start huffing,

Puffing and groaning.

After one hour, games/sports classes  are being held.

To their respective assignments, students are divided.

Badminton is my choice,

Where I used to go.

Meet a few new faces and many friends I know .

After practicing for an hour,

We all go home back ,

Collecting the juice,

 Piled up in a stack.

It may be tiresome,

 But , it's a fun .

Enjoying the Sunday Morning,

With friends under the sun .

This is the day,

I justify its name .

See the sunrise once a week,

For the sake of the game.
