MY UNIFORM

Trishna Sahoo

Science exhibition is at eight,

My school program was very much tight.

Leader of the team must come,

With his/her house Uniform.

My T shirt is yellow and pant is white ,

I asked my mother to find it out right.

She searched in the cupboard everywhere ,

Threw all the garments on the floor .

"Where is your dress baby ?"  Cried my mother.

I said a big NO , so did my grandmother.

Came my grandfather and joined the party ,

Searched all the dresses both clean and dirty.

"Here l had kept, where it had gone?

Some mischief you must have done. "

" No Mama! Why should I do?

After that class I had given it to you. "

Grandma asked to put on the old one.

Later we will find where it had gone.

Grandpa told  ," Call one of your housemate ,

To bring her Uniform without being late.."

Thank God ! I got my old one and put it on ,

Oh ! It was just fitting, all the anxiety gone.

To my good luck I reached school on time,

My nervous team had a sigh of relief and thanked me .

By all the three , search operation was on in our house ,

All rooms, all spaces all containers as if searching for a mouse.

Alas!  In a bathroom, inside a bucket, kept in a corner ,

The most wanted uniform of  mine did appear.

MY FAVORITE SEASON

Trishna Sahoo

No scorching sun , no threat of rain,

Pleasant weather, enjoyable for all school children.

Days are small and nights are long,

I enjoy my sleep being covered by a rug.

No stress of examination,

No load of home taxation.

Trip , leadership camp and unwind function,

Group activities, rehearsals and science exhibition.

When sun sets and comes the evening,

A plate of hot POKODA most satisfying.

My most favorite season is winter,

I am comfortable with a jacket or sweater.

Seasons change, so also the nature,

Forget the past, enjoy the present and plan for the future.

Trishna  ( Natuni ) , a class VI student of Sai International School Bhubaneswar, born to engineer parents and doctor grand parents is a gifted child. A disciplined and determined learner she is, as a student, family member, speaker, writer and an Odisi dancer. She is blended with traditional and cultural values, spirituality, science and arts. A nature loving girl she has taken reading books and travelling as her hobbies. Her favourite dish is Chicken Biryiani prepared by her mother. Her motto of life is, " NEVER BE A DEFAULTER. " May God bless her.

Excellent and marvelous expression of inner thought by the young poet Trishna, both the topics My School Uniform and Favourite season have been well composed with excellent poetic skill by little Trishna, keep it up up and up dear little Angel, I see lot of potential within you, don't get dislocated on the plea of heavy class room load in the near future, May Goddess Saraswati bless this young magician with all skill and competency, I will be the happiest person to see our Trishna, a successful personality in her field of choice.
